Job: Cutting edge design for a cutting edge University.
Brief: To create an eight page landscape brochure featuring all facets of Food Security studied at Murdoch University. Research at Murdoch University is making a difference to our world. Our research is transitionally focused and cutting edge. Murdoch inventions contribute more than $2billion per year to the Australian economy. The University’s ground-breaking work is helping farmers and is transforming island economies from dependence on mineral resources to sustainable farming. Our scientists are delivering savings through technology in pre and post-harvest crop protection. These are just some examples of how we turn cutting edge research into practical solutions for countries around the world. Murdoch continues to develop strong ties throughout Asia. We are proud of the many research partnerships and project collaborations which the University enjoys throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Murdoch is ranked in the top 100 Universities under 50-years-old by the Times Higher Education Supplement. Our Veterinary College is ranked in the world’s top 50, whilst Agriculture and Forestry are ranked in the top 200 by QS World University Rankings. As populations grow and the climate changes, our scientists and policy experts are meeting the challenges of global food production over the next 50 years.
Solution: I had to be mindful of cultural and religious beliefs and sensitivities due to the fact that Murdoch University is a global partner of choice for governments, research organisations and private industry bodies throughout the world. The landscape format allowed for a different layout and to stand out from other marketing collateral.
